Tesla's Work Was To Install Lighting System Based On Direct Current In The City. DC Was Good For Short Diatance But When It Comes To Long Distance DC Cannot Fulfillment This Because Its Voltage Decreases By The Distance. Nikola Tesla Was Working On AC (Alternating Current) Whose Voltage Does Not Decreases By Distance And We can Transfer High Voltage Electricity Through Wires. After Tesla Completed His Alternating Current Invention And Showed To Edison. Then Edison Understood That Tesla's AC Will Eliminate DC And That's Why He Made Fun Of Tesla's AC And Said That It Is Dangerous.
And So That Tesla Don't Work On His AC Edison Ordered Tesla To Pay Attention To Company Work And Said When He Will Prepare 24 Standard Machines That He Will Get $50000 Bonus. After 6 Months Tesla Prepared All Of Those Machines And Also Worked On His AC Invention.
After Completing His Work When Tesla Went To Edison For His Bonus Then Edison Replied "Tesla You Don't Even Understand The American Jokes". After Edison Deceive Tesla. Tesla Left The Company in 4 January 1885. After That Tesla Invented Induction Motor Which Works On Alternating Current. When An American Businessman George Westinghouse Got To Know About This Motor. He Hired Tesla As In His Company As Consultant.
When Thomas Edison Got To Know That George Westinghouse Has Hired Tesla Then Edison Spread Fake Rumors About AC That It Is Very Dangerous. But Eventually People Started To Believe In AC and AC Started To Use In Commerial And Residential Because AC Was Also Cheap From DC. After That Tesla Opened His own Laboratory Where He Founded Many Inventions.
